Dec 1-December 19 Frosty the Snowman Company Onstage children's theater presents Frosty the
Snowman, by Rob Howard, playing November 14 - December 19, 2009. Directed by Janet Hansen. The
children of Glenville love their magical walking, talking, dancing snowman, Frosty. When Magnificent Max
tempts him with a place in a traveling circus, Frosty’s new friends help him make an important decision
and learn the true meaning of friendship. Bring your whole family and join us for this holiday tradition at
the Company OnStage.   Performances are held on Saturdays at 11:00 am and 1:30 pm. Tickets are
$8.00 each.  Seating is reserved. Reservations are strongly recommended. Visit our Box Office or call

Thru Dec 19 Rudolph (Saturdays) Express Children's Theatre presents Rudolph.
It’s the Holiday season and the North Pole is buzzing with excitement. Santa is about to pick a new
leader for the sleigh team. There are so many talented reindeer. Who will win the most coveted spot on
the team? Donner is the strongest, Comet is the fastest, Dancer never gets lost, but poor Rudolph only
has a nose so bright. Come along with us as the Reindeer Games begin.  A delightful new holiday

December 3 Festival of Lights at ACC
The annual Festival of Lights will be held at Alvin Community College on Dec. 3. Each year, the college
brings the spirit of Christmas to life with thousands of lights strung throughout the main campus,
seasonal music and sweet treats. For more information, call (281) 756-3686. The time for the event will

Dec 4   Hometown Christmas Festival On Friday night, the Christmas Spirit comes alive as Pearland
Parks and Recreation hosts the City's Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony.
Join us in Pearland for a weekend full of entertainment, live concerts, movie nights, give aways, Radio

Dec 4 Downtown Houston The Mayor’s Holiday Celebration is a long-standing tradition with music,
festivities, fireworks and the lighting of the official holiday tree. Reliant Energy is returning as the Official
Tree Sponsor and they are responsible for supplying an energy efficient tree by using LED lights  The
City of Houston and KHOU-TV are producing the annual Mayor’s Holiday Celebration to take place on
Friday, December 4, 2009.    The show will be on the upper plaza at City Hall, 901 Bagby from 6:00 - 7:30
p.m.

December 5, 2009 — Brazos Bend SP — Simple Christmas — Escape the hustle and bustle of the
season and enjoy the simple life: making s’mores, Dutch oven cooking, children’s crafts, hayrides and
more plus a visit from a "Southern Santa." Cap off the evening with "The Brazos River Pickers" old-time,
bluegrass band. Refreshments available. Bring a picnic supper to enjoy while you listen to the

December 12, 2009 — Battleship TEXAS SHS — A Sailors Christmas Come join us
for a truly unique Christmas experience! Step back in time to December 1941 when TEXAS was off the
coast of Canada and a local fishing village was invited aboard for a special holiday event. Send a Morse
code message to the North Pole, make your very own ornament, listen to the sounds of the season with
live performances by area bands and have your picture taken with Santa. You can also tickle your sweet
tooth with hot chocolate, wassail, and cookies while you warm up in the Wardroom. Wheelchair
accessible on Main Deck only. 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; fees free Texas State Parks Pass members, $10 non-

Dec 12 Tour De Lites Keep Pearland Beautiful will be sponsring it's 16th annual family
bike ride.  The hour and a half ride starts at 7pm at Independence park and takes a tour
of the Green Tee christmas lights and ends back in the park where bikers are treated to

December 20, 2009 — Lyndon B. Johnson SP&HS — 40th Annual Tree Lighting
Come join the Texas Hill Country community in this special tradition started 40 years ago
by President and Mrs. Johnson. Enjoy carolers, a live nativity, Santa Claus, refreshments
and of course, the spectacular tree lighting. Then step back in time to the Sauer-
Beckmann Living History Farm for cookies amid glowing lanterns and a traditional candlelit
German Christmas tree. LBJ Park Bookstore and Gift Shop will be open and many other
things to help you get into the holiday spirit. Dress for the weather and bring a flashlight.
